Often this laborious process then needs to be repeated for the translated questionnaire. Parallel to these questionnaires, designers are typically juggling a separate interviewer’s manual, containing more information on question interpretation. It is no wonder then that errors remaining after printing of the questionnaire are sometimes quietly left untouched; it’s a formidable job to communicate any change to field teams spread far and wide across the survey area and re-printing is too costly to form a real possibility. - Bringing the interviewer manual and questions together on the same screen. Detailed instructions for your team are entered at the same time as the details of your questionnaires; as well as providing on-screen context sensitive help, these instructions can be printed off in manual form for training and reference. So there’s no need to design, format and edit a separate interviewers’ manual.
